CIR - Italy-Rumenia Cooperative Programme on Environment Research and Training - Fellowships for students

The CIR – Italy-Rumania Cooperative Programme on Environment Research and Training intends to launch a call for applications in order to select a limited number of qualified Romanian students to attend Masters programs or Training Courses at Italian Universities and other Institutions.

Courses and Masters topics are required to cover one of the following scientific topics:
* sustainable development,
* sustainable management of the natural resources,
* climate change issues
* climate change economic modelling,
* extreme climate events, their changes in frequencies and intensities,
* assessment of the climate change impacts on agriculture, energy distribution, tourism and public health,
* management strategies of these risks and extreme events warning

Fellowships are available in order to cover the tuition expenses, the travel expenses at the beginning and at the end of the studies, and the living expenses (about 1200 Euro per months after taxes) up to 12 months.

The CIR Fellowships Programme is a two years Programme starting on September 2007. Only candidates from Romania can apply.

Two (2) fellowships are available for the following master “Public administration and business management for sustainable development” at the UNIVERSITA’ DEGLI STUDI DI ROMA “LA SAPIENZA” in Rome.

The selection process will end on 18 February 2008. Once the selection process will be completed the admission office will inform all candidates of their decisions in writing. The above application process is related only to the assignment of the CIR fellowship. Each candidate will directly apply for the selected Master according to the related University’s call (art 5). A new deadline has been set (see below).

Specific Master requirements: Lessons will be in English. A good knowledge of English is required. The new deadline for the Master application is 28 February 2008.
