Elnur Guseynov has just won Land Of Fire 2008 with the song If you Never Come Back and will thus be the first ever Azerbaijani Eurovision Song Contest entrant. A spectacular live show, broadcast in several countries and worldwide over the internet through Eurovision.tv's esctv, marked the kick-off of Azerbaijan's new challenge; to conquer Europe's hearts through the Eurovision Song Contest!
Morena has won the 2008 Malta Song For Europe Festival with the song Vodka, by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg and thus will represent the island at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.
For the second time, Czech broadcaster CT organised their national final Eurosong, which again was held in Prague. From the ten songs participating, Have Some Fun by Tereza Kerndlová was chosen by an SMS vote to represent the Czech Republic in one of the two Semi-Finals of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.
Geta Burlacu has won the Moldovan national selection with the song A Century Of Love and will thus participate in the First Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade on Tuesday, 20th of May.
My favorites are Azerbaijan and Moldova. The other ones are just common songs (Norway and Slovenia. BTW, isn't Rebeka Dremelj too fat to dress in white?), stupid (Estonia and Malta), borrowed tunes (I hear there a little bit of Nelly Futado ft Timbaland, don't you?)
